Dr Leigh Jackson

Scientific Project Manager

Dr Leigh Jackson is Scientific Project Manager for COG-UK and helps to coordinate National projects such as ONS, REACT, GenOMICC and vaccine trials. He also works closely with PHE and the MHRA to monitor assay efficacy. Leigh is also a lecturer in Genomic Medicine at the University of Exeter researching the genomics of rare disease and clinical utility of genotyping for detecting rare pathogenic variants. Leigh previously worked within the 100,000 Genomes Project, helped to deliver the GenEquip project to educate primary care clinicians in genetics, and was deployed to Sierra Leone by PHE during the Ebola outbreak in 2014/15.
