Dr Richard Myers is a COG-UK Principal Investigator at Public Health England where he is the Interim Head of Bioinformatics. Prior to this, he was a Senior Bioinformatician at Public Health England, working on web enabled database analysis pipelines for pathogens impacting on human health. His research focused on phylogenetics, recombination and co variation. He gained his PhD in Bioinformatics at University College London before moving into a Post-Doctoral Fellow role at the University.
