Dr Ana Filipe is head of the CVR Genomics group within the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus. She has over 12 years of experience studying viruses, 6 years on viral sequencing and host transcriptomics. Presently, she is involved in sequencing SARS-CoV-2, exploring different sequencing pipelines, and supporting the implementation of protocols in NHS. She is also driving the development of sequencing solutions to improve viral discovery.
